He's the most-listened-to personality in the history of U.S. radio, but Rush Limbaugh feared for his life recently and said he knows he faces destruction at some point, to the delight of some of the American public.
In an e-mail sent to Zev Chafets, author of the new book "Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One," Limbaugh admitted, "I know I am a target and I know I will be destroyed eventually. I fear that all I have accomplished and all the wealth I have accumulated will be taken from me, to the cheers of the crowd. I know I am hated and despised by the American Left."
The message was sent the day after President Obama laughed at comedian Wanda Sykes' joke about Limbaugh's death during last year's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

In a diatribe against Limbaugh, Sykes said: "Rush Limbaugh, 'I hope the country fails' – I hope his kidneys fail, how about that?"
The dinner was broadcast nationally on C-SPAN, and a clip has been posted on YouTube, with Sykes' remarks about Limbaugh beginning at the two-minute mark:

We learned valuable lessons from the old union and can take that knowledge and craft a new nation that can better weather the erosive nature of the darker side of human nature. His destruction is occurring now and ongoing from extremist insiders in the media and societal elites. Just as they did to Palin in the first six months of running for VP. It targeted, intentional and coordinated.

IMO Rush is more powerful now than ever before. His audience is growing and the conservative movement in general is also.
There will be a new Congress next January and I don't think
the commies will be able to craft & pass legislation or regulation to take him off the air.
And while no man is invincible I don't see Rush being physically harmed by the left.
I believe (and pray) that Rush is on the air decades after 0b0z0 is voted out and a distant bitter nauseating memory.
What’s weird about it? Joe the plumber had Obama tell him to his face that wealth redistribution’s is his administration’s method of choice for finishing off America, and the government is grabbing up every bit of property it can, while liberal wingnuts ignorantly cheer what will eventually consume them, too.
It’s weird for someone normally so self-assured (at least in his for-public-consumption persona) to speak in such absolute and certain terms about his own future demise.
Glad Sykes was cancelled. She was a hateful, unfunny woman.
