Sure, anyone who wants to drill off our coast is loving it. We shut down and they drill off our shore. Insanity.

If you don't believe me, perhaps you will actually believe what W himself said? Video at the provided link as well.

http://binside.typepad.com/binside_tv/2009/01/president-george-w-bush-admitted-monday-it-had-been-a-mistake-to--hang-a-banner-saying-mission-accomplished-on-a-us-battlesh.html

"Clearly, putting a 'mission accomplished' on an aircraft carrier was a mistake," Bush said when asked at what he said would be his final press conference about any errors he had made in his eight years in office.

Hmmm, W himself admitted it was a mistake and sent the wrong message. Yet I'm the leftist for agreeing with him? *rolls-eyes*

“Clearly, putting a ‘mission accomplished’ on an aircraft carrier was a mistake,” Bush said when asked at what he said would be his final press conference about any errors he had made in his eight years in office.”

It was a mistake because the simple act of the first returning Military unit from a successful campaign in the Iraq War, reporting in the traditional manner to it’s Commander and Chief, was blown up by a rabid MSM and people like you into something it was not.....and beat to death in a continuing/ongoing effort to marginilize/destroy a President in the performance of his Constitutional duties to protect and defend the Nation....

It was a mistake to give them (you/DNC/MSM) a propaganda opportunity knowing from past experience that the Dems/MSM/ and people like you would use whatever was at hand and spin it into some sort of a negitive, and keep their spin going for, what is it now...7 years.... seriously you should get yourself a real life apart from your BDS ......

It was a mistake, throughout his administration, to believe that the basic goodness, sense of fairness, and patriotism of the American people would be reflected in the Media/ the Democras in Congress, or in “but,I lean conservative” people like you. None of you are up to the task of shinning his boots......

To my mind, you, and people like you, owe not only a debt of gratitude, but also an appology to George W Bush. In realization of your moral charactor, thought process, political bias, and sense of patriotism, I won’t be holding my breath waiting for either of those things.....

“Yet I’m the leftist for agreeing with him? *rolls-eyes*

No, you’re a leftist because you agree with the spin, and a nasty Partisan attack by a biased MSM, and dingbat left, on a sitting President, leading his country in the aftermath of the most devestating assault on the United States in it’s history, and, in effect, casting that same disdain upon the members of the crew and officers of the Abraham Lincoln. I’d say that you should be ashamed of yourself, but I’m quite sure you are incapable of it...... in fact you seem to be taking a lot of joy in continually spreading your leftist/BDS spin......

Don’t roll your eyes, they may get stuck in the back of an empty skull....

See ya sonny!

Yeah, I’m in bed with the DNC and MSM alright. *rolls eyes*

IT was a message. A presser right in front of the sign meant one and only one thing - We kicked ass, the rest is mop up work. The president eventually saw that the message was misleading, GIVEN THE PRESS CONFERENCE RIGHT UNDER THE SIGN, too bad you can not.

Again, I still only see the sign on that one ship, right behind W put up there special for the presser.

Even if I accept your story of the Navy putting up 40” foot banners all over their ships(I’ve not seen a photo of ANY other incident like this one), it still sent a very bad message in conjunction with W’s speech.

Sorry that you can not understand this, and are incapable of saying W made any kind of mistake. People in the real world can admit when a mistake has been made, that’s how you learn to avoid making them in the future. If you are incapable of seeing/admitting mistakes, you are just as likely to commit them in the future.

You seem to think that a military unit, in this case the Abraham Lincoln, reporting with pride to it’s Commander in Chief, the traditional report of completing it’s assigned military task, is somehow wrong.....not only that, you object that I (and others) do not agree with you/MSM/DNC .....

Yes, you are in bed with the DNC and the MSM because you repeat and seem to agree with their biased lies/spin....

Oh, I see that the 100’ banners have now changed to 40’ banners....wrong still! they are about 24-30’ long....still at your BS aren’t you?

Starting to get it Huh?.......

“IT was a message. A presser right in front of the sign meant one and only one thing - We kicked ass, the rest is mop up work.”

No Shix Sherlock! Problem is the media/DNC/you try to spin it another way......

You remind me of those that met me at the airports/bus stations/college campus’ that showered me with taunts and catcalls, bags of red dye, and spit, when I was in the service, and the first few months of college until my hair grew out to “civilian” length.....you are that same type of individual, and I find you dispictable. Having defended people like you, and your right to spread your venom about our the President during wartime, is the only thing that I regret about my time in the Service of our nation. I’ll eventually be guarding the streets of Heaven....you, sir may go straight to He!!...........

Fine, it's a 100 foot banner then, whatever. I didn't know the distance from W's podium to the tower. Regardless, the podium was positioned such that the banner filled the screen to sent it's not too subtle message, that's all that's important.

Really? I question the OBVIOUS use of a banner at a press conference, and that makes me the same as people who spit on you? I'll end this farce right now. Thank you for your service, but personally you disgust me by saying that. I question one thing, and you say I spit in the face of the military. I AGREE with the president, and I'm taunting the military? You obviously have some issues when you can not take one bit of criticism that the president himself said was a mistake.

You have gone way too far with your personal attack on me in this regard over a difference of opinion.

“OBVIOUS use of a Banner” My God! The Humanity! Break out the pitchforks and torches! String those sailors from the yardarms! Oh my God we can’t let this can’t happen in America...wait till San Fran Nan hears about this!/s

“Thank you for your service.”

You’re 41 years late, and still denigrating the Armed Forces when the do their job, and report to their Commander and Chief that they have done so. You have no right to be disgusted......
