I’m aware of an aerospace company where this happens all the time. It depends on the day of the week and proximity of the month/quarter closing. The closer the closing the better the parts spontaneously become!

I wonder if this was a matter of simple incompetence or if some soldier-haters on the assembly line deliberately screwed up the process. If the latter, they should be tried for both treason and homocide in the deaths of any soldier resulting from the failure of these parts.

This would be sabotage, not treason, but that stills gets 'em a firing squad.

Nope...it would be giving aid and comfort to the enemy. That’s treason.

I can understand your point of view, but proof of treason requires two eyewitnesses or confession in open court. Sabotage does not. It’s easier to get em’ in front of a firing squad on sabotage sharges. And the end result is the same.
