Gibbs criticized reporters for asking too many BP questions.

Full damage control: the White House is pulling out all the stops on the BP spill as a new gusher erupts: a gusher of criticism over what even some Democrats say is an insufficient response – or at least the appearance of one – to the crisis.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs disputes the notion that the White House is behind the curve on the BP catastrophe - he appeared yesterday on the CBS program "Face the Nation:"

"I don't think anybody could credibly say even as frustrated as they are, and as frustrated as we are, that the government has stood around, done nothing and hoped for the best. We were activated the moment that this oil rig exploded, this has been on the President's agenda ever since that happened and we have mobilized every aspect that we possibly can in our government. There have been calls to every sector of our government to ask for help."

But in a sign of defensiveness, Gibbs called White House reporters into the West Wing Friday and criticized them for asking too many BP questions.

He’ll get a lot more today – when he appears with Admiral Thad Allen – the Coast Guard Commandant who’s been working with BP these last few weeks. As for President Obama – he’ll hold a noon conference call with Gulf Coast Governors to discuss the latest developments.

Rush summed up this administration best today. It is all about words, just words. Words selected from a list of placating lies intended to instil some sense that grownups are actually in charge when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

It is an administration run by an 'organizer/agitator'; there is not one ounce of leadership and command in this man's entire physiological makeup - none.

And, Gaffer.....to top it all off....Gibbs is just Obama’s Gerbil poking its head out every so often to spout the truth from whence he resides.

Shall we all take a minute to envision the FIRESTORM that would have followed such an action as performed by Tony Snow or Dana Perrino in the Bush ‘43 administration? The universal cacophony would be deafening amongst the ravening mavens of the liberalgentsia!

Obama-- Like every other conman his stock in trade is words. Not doing anything or at least not anything useful

He’s an arrogant and ungrateful scumbag just like his boss. He should be on all fours kissing the media’s ass for the kid gloves treatment they give him. If he needs a lesson on this he can always review film of his boss sucking up to our enemies.

The Regime is under the delusion that they’re already stolen our freedom and that we’re slaves to the State. Anyone tell Gibbs and his agents of change that We The People haven’t relinquished our freedom yet???

Gibbs is terrified of the so-called new conference coming up tomorrow. As well he should be. If Obama goes off teleprompter, it could be disastrous [for him].

One can only hope.

Personally, I am getting popcorn out and hoping for a "captian Queeg" and his clackers moment. :)

Oh my cow!! I never saw that clip before! I’m laughing almost too hard to type. It is Perfect!! Yes, we’ve got a Captain Queeg in charge at the moment, but as in the clip, he won’t be able to keep it up forever. Thanks for the link!
