NYC bus ads asking 'Leaving Islam?' cause a stir

NEW YORK (AP) -- The questions on the ads aren't subtle: Leaving Islam? Fatwa on your head? Is your family threatening you?

A conservative activist and the organizations she leads have paid several thousand dollars for the ads to run on at least 30 city buses for a month. The ads point to a website called RefugefromIslam.com, which offers information to those wishing to leave Islam, but some Muslims are calling the ads a smoke screen for an anti-Muslim agenda.

I sincerely hope there is such an agenda. Those nut cases should not be allowed to infiltrate this Nation. They need to keep that spiritual cancer within their own failed nations.

I suppose it's fair to say that protecting people from islam could be considered an anti-islam strategy. Of course if islam weren't so murderously bloodthirsty it wouldn't be necessary.

but some Muslims are calling the ads a smoke screen for an anti-Muslim agenda.

There is a standing death penalty for non-muslims who'd dare enter the segregated Islamic supremacist cities of mecca and medina.

In some nations there is a death penalty for any muslim who'd dare convert away from the blood cult.

Immigrants to America should be informed of their rights to a freedom of religion, they are NOT locked into this faith and if they believe they face violent pressure from home to remain in the cult, then it is fair to give them information of how to get out.

It's not being funded by taxpayer funds.

When the so called peaceful muslims explain how they can bow to mecca 5 times a day every day and never express any outrage over those death penalty punishments, then they can voice outrage over advertising like this.

We are seeing parents in America killing their wayward adult offspring who leave the faith.

Anti-Islam would be an ad campaign pointing out the political and legal structures within Islam. Pointing out that it is not merely a religion but a theocratic political system of rule that does not permit a freedom of religion and is incompatible with our Constitution and pushing for its prohibition.

This is a way out for those who already have reached the decision to leave.

I'm all in favor of people helping others to find a way out of tyranny.

I agree entirely. I’ve posted this several times in the past and once earlier today but I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face.

As far as I’m concerned the entire Western World...the US included...should outlaw the practice of islam as a matter of self defense. Islam is not a religion, per se, it’s a total, unified, political, cultural, economic, and judicial code of life that is completely at odds and opposed to our western heritage.

Do you really want to go there?

I agree that it is positively opposed to everything our Western culture is founded on and bent on its destruction...

But maybe there’s something we can do to neuter it without outlawing it. That smacks up against our first amendment.

On the other hand, if they had the power, the left would outlaw Christianity tomorrow.

I really do. I’ve shied away from saying so because of the First Amendment but I think the fact that islam seeks to conquer all other religions, seeks to supplant local judicial and political authority and has a 1200 year history of violence abd bloodshed than continues unabated even today puts it outside the purview of the first amendment. CAIR is already starting rto talk about setting up Shaaria Courts in this country. Oh REALLY!? That’s something worth fighting against.

Only if you accept the idea that Islam is a religion. Islam is a form of governance masquerading as religion.

I’m not in opposition to your point of view here, just discussing and exploring.

One of our high school government essay questions was something along the lines of
“should the Communist party be outlawed in America because it seeks to destroy the Constitution”...

Well, this question now applies to Islam.

What’s wrong with an “anti-Muslim agenda? Sounds good to me.

I am proud to subscribe to an anti-Islam agenda. No apologies here.

Perhaps we could just outlaw the promotion of murder for perceived “lack of faith?”

That would allow people to be “islamic” without getting into the murder part.

We already have and that didn’t stop or prevent 911 or Ft Hood or The London subway etc.etc.

“We already have. . .”

We prosecute the imams advocating murder of people? I didn’t think they got touched.
