RIP. His shows were actually funny without being crude.

Great entertainer. Sadly, my first thought was, “He was still alive?”

(Don't care if he was born in a manger on July 4th! A "Natural Born" citizen requires two US parents!)

RIP. He was a good conservative and patriotic American.

I know he’s been picked in the Death Pool in the past.

Quite a long life. RIP His interviews with kids was one of the best segments of his show. His kind of show would be a great flop in today’s culture — sad.

At the ripe old age of 97 too. Saw him in fairly recent interviews and he still seemed sharp as a tack.
Can we have a Canada Ping? Art was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, eh?
To: Beaten Valve
RIP. He was a great guy — I was hoping he’d make it to 100, but 97 is pretty darn good.

GOOD CONSERVATIVE. Rest in Peace.
To: Beaten Valve
Several years ago, he said his goal was to live until year 2010, so he would not have to pay the estate tax. RIP

I remember the show “House Party.” One time, back in the late ‘60s, during the kids-interview segment, one young black boy addressed Art as “Sir” with every answer. Art was so impressed, he rewarded the boy with a $25 gift certificate (a meaningful amount back in the day) on the spot.

May he rest peacefully on a Craftmatic Adjustable bed.
