Maybe the idea should be discussed among FReeper movers and shakers.

Just great. The appropriate response would be to tighten up the southern border.

Sorry Redleg Nimrod...If you read and understand this law, I just think it’s a very small step...I think you and I are after the same thing, but realistically this is no way or the means to address the main problem. Support Arizona in their efforts and courage? Yes!!!
As long as we are overwhelmingly willing to hire, pay, depend, etc. of illegal labor and not fine those who use them, then they will keep on piling across the international lines. No politician, including the most conservative Republicans will take the final step to add new laws or enforce existing laws that address those that hire them. Too much of a political hot potato, and too many donations from those who use illegal labor. It does make good rhetoric and slogans during campaigns, but you should know by now that most of them are empty words.
I just hope that the next state that adopts similar laws to Arizona, one-ups them and targets those who hire illegal aliens.

After all they have allowed, they're sending what? A large number of National Guard to the border, due to one terrorist?
Because this one knows how to succeed in lighting his underwear on fire?

Relevant Logic
Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida.
Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation.
+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.
+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.
Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

Statement of the Government of Mexico
The government of Mexico believes that the decision of the U.S. government, announced today, to send 1,200 National Guard troops to the border with Mexico should translate into channeling additional resources into making its efforts to prevent the illegal trafficking in weapons and cash into Mexico more effective, as this provides organized crime with its firepower and its ability to corrupt.
At the same time, the government of Mexico hopes that the National Guard troops will strengthen the efforts to combat the transnational organized crime that operates on both sides of the border and, in accordance with their duties, that they will not undertake activities directly linked to the application of immigration laws.
Mexico is determined to continue working within its territory to ensure the safety and welfare of the border communities and to confront and dismantle the criminal organizations and their links with drug trafficking and human trafficking. As part of our joint strategy to combat transnational organized crime, there are actions that our two countries develop together, but there are others that Mexico and the U.S. develop independently, within their respective territories.
In this regard, the government of Mexico respects the sovereign decisions of the United States government. However, it emphasizes that shared responsibility should continue to be the foundation of our joint efforts against the organized crime that operates on both sides of the border.

US troops won't be used to stop illegal immigration: US
US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.
President Barack Obama on Tuesday authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, "It's not about immigration."
He said the move was "fully consistent with our efforts to do our part to stem, you know, violence, to interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods -- drugs, guns, people."
He said the extra troops would be used to free up civilians engaged in support functions so that law enforcement personnel can be increased along the 2,000-mile-long (3,200 kilometer) border.
Nearly 13 million Mexicans live in the United States, more than half of them illegally.
"We have explained the president's announcement to the government of Mexico, and they fully understand the rationale behind it," Crowley said.
Obama's announcement came less than a week after a state visit to Washington by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who asked for greater US backing for a bloody three-year-old war on drug cartels.
Drug violence has claimed the lives of nearly 23,000 people over the past three years.

Not having the NG ENFORCE FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAWS (pauses while head explodes) while battling criminals who are ILLEGAL ALIENS is like saying you’re going to have chocolate chip cookies for dessert, but without the chips.
Neither one makes any sense, does it? :-(

I’m wondering IF Homeland Security is sending the NG to the Southern border without ammo rounds in the chambers of their weapons or will they forbid them to have NO weapons like the last time they were sent to protect our Southern Border? : ((
What a sham and a SHAME!!
