Running, jumping, stretching and sweating. Michelle Obama made it look fun as she joined youngsters from the local Washington, D.C. area in what the First Lady's office is calling a South Lawn Series kick-off for her "Let's Move!" project. Trainers from local Washington sports teams such as football's Redskins and hockey's Capitals were on the White House South Lawn showing kids moves they can use to stay fit. "You're going to have to go home and take some of what you learn here and teach your families and the other kids in your schools.. and figure out how you guys can get other people in your lives moving," Michelle Obama told the enthusiastic children.

It seems to me that Democratical women are more likely to
straddle things. Cases in point, `Butch’ Kagan and Mickey.
It really is odd that a woman whose only physical activity seems to be ‘working out’ at the gym and participating in these made-up phys ed games, has appointed herself a spokeswoman for getting the country ‘moving’. Were that she were a runner, swimmer, tennis player, or some such, perhaps.
I think this is the right thing for her to do with her time. She’s a mom of young kids and most moms her age participate in PTA & other activities at their kids school. This seems to be an extension of that role. I’d rather her jump around the front lawn that set policy for the nation ala Hillary Clinton.
Here’s me thinking we had a shaker here in California and all it was, was her shaking her big butt!
