You mean there might be a GOP in LA soon?

We sure have not had one for years.

“Infighting puts L.A. GOP in disarray”. I was unaware that they were in “array”. When did that occur?

I would love to see the Tea Party activists take control of the LA County GOP. But the need to run for the Central Committea and get elected first.

Well, California and GOP are mutually exclusive, so, what ever is represented as the GOP in LA, isn't.

Therefore, if a TEA Party group take it over, they can do no harm, and there is the possibility that they could eliminate some ringers and start a real LA GOP.

Hey, there’s still room in the Democrat party for old guard party hacks.
Much like Spectre, these people may feel just as comfortable in the Democrat party, as long as they keep their titles and their benefits.

Sounds about like our county GOP leaders.

The yearly meeting is made up of the party faithful.

Would only take about 50 POed Republicans to show up at the meeting and they would have the votes to take over.

See my post # 16 about our county.

When they have the yearly meeting whoever shows up are divided up into they precincts and then a vote is held for the Precinct Leader.

Each Precinct may only have 2 or 3 people there - the party faithful.

Wouldn't take much organization for Tea Party Republicans to pass the word, show up and take over.

I think that makes the “leadership” nervous.

hehe. As a Hellywood Pubbie, the reason why the LAT thinks it’s in dissaray is because a good number of these so-called Republikans are RINOS. The TP people I know just want to get rid of them, and it’s been a long time coming.
