And we could make money by turning the whole thing into a reality show, watching illegals get blown up.

“And it’s a meaningless gesture unless they’re authorized to shoot to kill or send them back.”

My thought as well.

I am becoming convinced that the troops are being sent to interfere with Arizona’s enforcement of the new law.

Ya think? And why has’nt Gov Brewer deployed the AZ guard herself on the border?

defending our borders IS one of the things our federal government NEEDS to do... and IS mandated in the constitution....aka/ NATIONAL SECURITY... healthcare is NOT in the constitution folks... divert the “healthcare” money to NATIONAL SECURITY FUNDS... $500mil for troops is a BABY step in the right direction... needs to be at least 10 times that amount and in addition to the troops we need to build a stinkin’ fence already for crying out loud... use the troops to patrol the FENCE LINE while it is being built...and AFTER it is done.... imagine the jobs for all the fence builders out there looking for work..

I guess I must have been hallucinating when the TXARNG Staff Sergeant told me that the wrong side won in the Mexican American war. LITERALLY that’s what he told me. The entire cadre at that course were Hispanics. In fact, 90% of the AGR’s at that base were “Hispanics”. Of course, that was before 9-11 and the Iraq invasion so the guys that were in it for the tuition and “per-diem” on orders bums have probably been thinned out since then. Actually having to deploy has a tendency to remove the scumbags. Definately got rid of some dead weight here in Oregon.

Like I said, the Texas shooting team was world class when I was competing from 2001-2003. Many of those guys ended up as snipers and DM’s in the sandbox. They were awesome shooters and the coach was incredible. That guy could teach a rock how to shoot well.

The Mexicans, uh I mean “Texans”, from the mess hall fed us chili-mac for 3 weeks straight. (probably from the same huge batch so they didn’t have to work) The lone white cadre member felt so bad that he took a collection, drove his POV and bought some sausage at a local butcher. We BBQ’d it on a day off. Good stuff, typical Texas (Czech/Slovakian style) sausage.

In 21 years of active and National Guard service I had never been to such a crappy school with as crappy cadre and crappy support as that school outside of Austin. Comparing those idiots to the 1st AD NCO academy in Nurnberg, GE is night and day. I thank God I got to attend that school!

In fact, 90% of the AGR’s at that base were “Hispanics”.

So in your world, volunteering to serve in the United States Military, and then leaving your home and family to attend a course at, I'm guessing Camp Swift, is a sign of a lack of patriotism? Which would make your presence there...
