Phone records, text messages, emails, voice mails these are the identifying markers of any love affair, and ground zero when it comes to any he said, she said battle in civil or criminal court.
Well weve got the ultimate he said, she said battle on our hands in South Carolina, where bad boy blogger Will Folks (our founding editor) has been called to the carpet following his forced admission of a vexingly vague inappropriate physical relationship with S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley, the front-runner for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
Now all we need is a courtroom.
Not only has Haley denied Folks claim (which he says was made under duress), shes gone on the radio and basically accused him of taking money to attack her (ouch). Of course, in another bizarre rumor making the rounds, some are speculating that Folks and Haley actually ginned the whole thing up together in an effort to get ahead of the story.
No kidding! (Thats actually the spin coming out of the S.C. State House).
Still other rumors claim that our website has simply decided to in Sarah Palins words make things up in an effort to punk the mainstream media, which we have to admit sounds like it would be a lot of fun.
Obviously, though, this wasnt the way that this story was supposed to unfold. Weve been longtime Haley backers here at FITS, and we thought that our years of consistent advocacy on her behalf (and on behalf of the fiscally conservative ideals she represents) might count for something as this unfortunate tale unfolded.
It clearly didnt.

RWP.
If there is anything unseemly in the texts etc...she’s in trouble.
I agree. I’m willing to forgive her having an affair if she’s upfront and honest about it. If it turns out she’s lying, she’s done. Let’s wait and see if he has anything before making a judgment though.
1. The story is true.
2a. Haley knew the story to be true, but...
2b. ...did not know of the existence of confirming evidence.
Given that situation, she'd think that she could deny everything and brazen it out (like Bill Clinton and his crew did until his DNA turned up on the blue dress).
I don’t know......how could she not be aware of the existence of the evidence....if it does indeed exist? Surely she would know she sent the stuff, and surely she would have to assume that he would still have those in his possession. She can’t be that dumb....
Why would she assume he’d kept them? Given that they’re about potentially embarrassing personal conduct, she might have assumed that he’d deleted them (as she probably did on her end).
I don’t know.....I would think that if it was true, and he came out with it, and he said there was “evidence”, she would have to assume that he had it, since she obviously would know of its existence. If that was the case, it doesn’t make sense for her to double-down and deny it.
I'm sure that after the election this story will be “forgotten” and whoever manged to make the runoff will run against her has the anti-haley candidate.
It is the establishment's only hope to keep power.
