The national economy may be working its way out of the recession, but pay from private employers isn't exactly in growth mode as of yet.
A new analysis out today from USA Today found that pay from private employers shrunk to its smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of 2010.
After shedding nearly eight million private jobs, the report says Americans have become increasingly reliant on government-funded programs.

when the private sector makes less than the public sector, many bad things happen. Agreed. Economic and societal collapse among them.

Well, mine shrank to 0 as in Obama. And I can’t help but notice that half the people in unemployment both applying and administering are foreigners. They had a whole group of staff just for Mexicans getting unemployment.

Yes. Absolute disaster in the making. I’ve read that more young people than ever want to work for the government rather than private industry.
The empirical evidence of looming disaster is all around us (eg, Soviet Union, NORK, Cuba, Greece, etc.), but we rush headlong toward those failed models. We are at a critical point.

We are just five days away from fundamentally transforming America. He wasn't kidding, was he?
And something very "fundamental" is going to have to happen for us to transform America back into what many of us are old enough to remember her having been.

The vampire economy seems to be doing well, but when its victim dies, the vampire will have to find another economy to ruin, if there are any left.

My concern is after it crashes, will America learn from being burned or will they flock to government as god to make it all better?

See any semblance of a plan here?

My concern is after it crashes, will America learn from being burned or will they flock to government as god to make it all better? That is why the Tea Party movement is so important. The policy elites and government beneficiaries will militate for world government - seeking security and control, not freedom. Freedom will need its champions, like never before. The world is going to change radically - likely in the next year, friends. Stay prepared.

We all know the plan (the one the Progressive policy elites will never admit to). Starve the private economy until it collapses, and replace it with, well, something else they won’t admit to.

What’s a good conservative kid going to do? The answer is that you take the job with the highest pay, best long term bemefits, best job security and opportunity for promotion increases. Unfortnately, right now, depending on your education, that is the govt. Especially when you see all those health active happy 55 year old govt retirees enjoying themselves during this depression.

Especially when you see all those health active happy 55 year old govt retirees enjoying themselves during this depression. I see them every day on I-93 Northbound, driving their nice cars with Mass. license plates (low-numbered plates, which when paired with Obama and union stickers tells you they work for The State). I'm going to work. They are on one of their countless days off, going skiing or boating...
