And you might ask yoursel
“Where is my beautiful house?”

And you may ask yourself
“ Where is my savings account? “

And you may ask yourself
“ My God! What have I done? “

I like him because he produced the b-52s album, Mesopotamia. It has a definite Heads feel to it.

Where's DFU to write a Crist parody?

And you may ask yourself
'Where is my tanning bed?'

Thank you again.

He should have used a Bryan Ferry (of Roxy Music) song.

Bryan Ferry, believe it or not, is pretty conservative.

I think maybe it went the way of the house ;-)

Crist should have used “Burning Down The House”...he’s quite the flamer you know.

This one might have been apropos.

QueerCrist aside, a primo, relentless moving bass line:

It was quite a pity that New Wave music self-destructed. It seemed to have a lot more potential, opening a whole bunch of avenues, most of which mysteriously turned into dead ends.

A lot of it came to the fore hand in hand with MTV, music that would never have seen the light of day otherwise, and a TV channel that needed constant new content, both visually and musically interesting.

Unlike Punk, New Wave had to be pop, which kept it commercially grounded and viable. Plus the visual angle of a video artist made it special.

It is understandable why the Talking Heads split up, though. While that much creativity resulted in some groundbreaking concepts, the instability and ego of especially Byrne could not work and play well with others for very long.

I really hope his suit goes through and he wins. It's time that Crist reaps the seeds of destruction he sowed as a RINO.

This other article (I was going to post until I found this thread already on FR) still calls Crist a Republican even though they acknowlege he’s an INDEPENDENT.

New wave broke through in America because of MTV but it was already underway in England without it.

It was the second british invasion of rock and roll.

Years ago David Byrne made a Latin album. Coming off the Talking Heads he was able to get the best NY Latin musicians to play on it. To function as his session musicians following his lead.

A few months after it came out I read an interview by a Latino guy who worked on it. His words were roughly “We Latino guys couldn’t stand working for that effete skinny faggot but the money was too good to turn down. We were relived when it was finished”

I like it more as the years go by. I have the original LP somewhere also.
