You have a good point....who knows unless you test everything? You can’t...
..so you have to place trust in government agencies?????? We know how successful that is, and how no bribes and payoffs affect bureaucracies.
Then you could believe pharmaceutical companies whose whole reason for existing is profit. They are wealthy enough to buy off anyone, including doctors to make studies appear a certain way and to guarantee “safety” of products and to buy off politicians to create laws that limit liability, etc, which they have done. They also have reason to hush up any truth that will destroy profits.
There is a major problem with our government intrusion and corporate power which can never be in the best interests of our population. In fact, there is a need for a sickly, dependent population to support both.
The answer is in free markets, competition, and just laws and, the most important, free press, and free speech for everyone.
