Davis has been the morning talk guy for WBAP forever. WBAP is a mega-station that can be picked up in five or six states (and that's in the midwest, where the states are big.) I suspect Davis being on is a political decision.
Davis sells himself as the "voice of reason" and plays the Devil's advocate card a lot. If there was a debate between Stalin and Jesus, Davis would try to find a way to give Stalin some positive strokes just to show he was being fair.
I've called into his WBAP show twice. Once he told me I was brilliant. The other time he told me I was the reason for call screeners.

Agreed, Davis is a RINO loving pain in the ass hemorrhoid that shows up to irritate from time to time. I wish someone at EIB would get the message and cut him out of the sub rotation. Hedgecock, Williams Steyn, anyone but Davis!
I think that you misunderstood my comment. BP has managed to put themselves as the lead operating company in every area that they operate, meaning that BP speaks for the whole industry and makes all the decisions that effect the industry. BP manages the pipelines, sets the prices, schedules the flow of the oil through the pipeline as well as scheduling the maintenance and deals with the government regulators in every area that they operate. BP manages the operations for the Alyeska pipeline and the facilities at Valdez. I am sure that BP has taken the lead in the Gulf, as well. BP does this because they feel that they can manage costs better than the other companies and because they can position themselves with the government regulators to gain favorable treatment and press.
