Sestak: WH offered job if he left race (Obama broke the law and now for the cover-up)

Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa., said Sunday the White House had offered him a job if he would withdraw from the primary race against Sen. Arlen Specter.

Sestak, who defeated the five-term incumbent Specter to win the Democratic nomination in the Senate primary, was asked on CBS's "Face the Nation" if the Obama administration had offered a position in exchange for his agreeing not to run.

"Yeah, he replied. "I was asked that question months after it happened. And I felt an obligation to answer it honestly. I said, 'yes.'

Asked what job, Sestak said: "No, no … and I said at the time, anything beyond that just gets into politics."

I think it is much in the light....the problem is the people supporting them are in the dark...and like it.

to bribe a candidate??

Let the heads begin to roll....of course, it will be buried!

Bingo. It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup and lying about it afterwards that gets them every time. There’s nothing illegal about what Bubba did in the oval office. He got impeached for lying about it. In other words, I’d consider this actual crime a bit more serious.

18 USC Sec. 211 - Bribery, Graft and Conflicts of Interest: Acceptance or solicitation to obtain appointive public office

He offered a bribe when he tendered a Federal job.

It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup and lying about it afterwards that gets them every time.

I call for a special prosecutor to find out what Obama knew and when did he know it. The spineless Republican leadership needs to play this up bigtime to expose the “culture of corruption” in the Democrat party.

Don’t you know the Dems would have this in the news on a daily basis
until November if this involved Republicans. Expose the crooks!

The Specter loss was another blow to Obama and I’m guessing that it really woke up some people in Democrat circles. Specter’s loss meant that Obama doesn’t have pull even within his own party. This is quite big. Bigger than Scott Brown or anything else.

What it means is that Obama not only won’t be able to win over independents, he won’t even be able to rally the base. Donors will also start to notice.

Hence, I think there’s a desire in some Dem circles to take out Sestak. For revenge or otherwise.

Exactly! Obammy has never intended to follow the law in getting anything he wants. This should have been evident from when he was a young adult doing cocaine (admitted to in his book). He spent his lifetime bashing people (white guys) to make himself look good and when it came to the yuts, thugs, ghetto mooches and others, it worked.

Actually, you can impeach for “Bribery and other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.” If Obama promised to name Sestak Secretary (or Undersecretary) of the Navy in return for Sestak dropping out of his race against Specter then Obama was either offering or willing to accept a bribe.

First Blago, now Sestak.

Probably just the tip of the iceberg.

“Nothing will come of it, folks. You could have a hi-def video of Obama and Sestak face to face, with Obama offering the job, and nothing would come of it.”

Same thing, IMO, goes for the birther issue. Obama could have a Rose Garden presser to announce that he was, in fact, born in Kenya, and nothing would come of it. The ObamaZombies and media don’t care where he was born and would probably celebrate the fact that our POTUS isn’t American.

The White House did an investigation of the whole matter and they found that nothing improper was done here. Move on! After all, it’s just a mere FELONY, if true.

Specifically WHO in the Wh made the offer?

Unknown, but you can be damn well sure that the offer was made with The One's approval. If I had make a bet, my money would be on Rahmbo.

What happens in Chicago does not necessarily stay in Chicago.

If charges are levied against the President it won’t happen till after November.
