we (forgive me, I use that in the most general of terms) are not teaching our children what it is to be an American, we aren’t teaching them what America stands for and why we are here in the first place.
I certainly agreed with you!

I don’t like that phrase either. Having said that, it really is nevertheless a great piece which expresses how a great many Americans feel.

"Worse yet, our President not only allowed, but enabled Mexican President Felipe Calderon to publicly humiliate our fellow Americans of Arizona,
while standing on the sacred grounds of the White House."I'm sorry, but I never have and I never will consider the White House and environs "sacred grounds", but I understand the author's intent however hyperbolic it may be. If anything, it is public housing for the hired help, not a cathedral. If you want to see some real sacred ground in the D.C. area, go to Arlington National Cemetery.

But it is a symbol and it’s the citizens symbol to look upon as a great House.
Unfortunately our House is being trashed.

The info at your link isn’t getting enough attention. Net Neutrality has got to be stopped.

*** Not to nitpick, but I do not like the term "citizen class". *** (First off, sorry for the very late reply, had to work yesterday.)
What I think he was getting at is that we now have a three class system (like it or not).
- The 'Elite Class'. The Ivory Towers boneheads who now surround Barry. They went to ail the 'right schools', and they never earned an honest dollar in their lives. But they 'know better'.
- The 'Political Class'. The DC Beltway morons who are professional pols, pundits and cocktail party goers, and who also never earned an honest dollar. This includes the 'Beltway Journalists' who also go to all the 'right' parties. Like say David Gregory of NBC, he speaks French you know. They also 'know better'.
- The rest of us. 'We The People', who work, pay taxes and follow all the ijit laws the first two 'classes' force on us. And unlike the above two we didn't go to the 'right schools'. We old guys learned 'our stuff' by 'OJT', or went to a 'lowly' State University. And heaven forbid, are self taught.
I'm positive no offense was meant by that term. But by you taking umbrage at its usage, I think he did get his point across.
