Well, they’ve already been taught that; not to touch a firearm unless Daddy says so (as he takes them to the shooting range occasionally). As to the other, I’ve always allowed them to get into MY purse as it’s always been somewhat of a family grab bag stemming from the diaper bag days. My husband won’t go in there, though. I think he’s scared of tampons or something. hee hee

I guess that gives you a conundrum about where to put the pistol. That rules out the purse, at least until the children are old enough to understand not to treat it as grab bag any more. (Maybe a different grab bag could be substituted so there is still a place to put fun treats from time to time. While your purse will henceforth only contain boring things like tampons, credit cards, and lipstick.)
