The revelation comes just months after the Army drew criticism for failing to flag the suspicious activities of the Army psychiatrist now charged with killing 13 and wounding dozens of others at Fort Hood.
The case, detailed in court records and other documents examined by the AP, raises more questions about the Army's ability to vet soldiers' backgrounds as it faces continued pressure from Congress over its screening and records system. While the soldier never deployed overseas, some say the case demonstrates how easily someone could pose as a member of the U.S. military.
Jesse Bernard Johnston III, 26, joined the Army Reserve in February as a sergeant and was assigned to the Corps Support Airplane Company based at the Fort Worth Naval Air Station. But he wasn't qualified to hold that rank, according to military records obtained by the AP. The records show that Johnston's only military experience was attending part of a 12-week Marine officer candidate course for college students in 2004.

Big deal. A Kenyan with no documentation tricked his way in as Commander-in-Chief. And now the military is using our tax money to make sure nobody can even ASK him for his documentation.
You can’t make this stuff up.
WTF?
No DD214, PCS, BMT or other documents?
I simply can’t see how this could happen without egregious negligence.
Look at the fruit salid on that guy. Who does he think he’s fooling?
Something doesn’t make sense here... The pic of this guy shows him as a Marine E-5, but the story talks about the Army, and then the Marine Corps, and a Naval Air Station.
Is the AP just lazy, or do they not care about reporting military-themed stories accurately? But then I repeat myself.
LC: Proud member of the 2nd CivDiv, but forever grateful to anyone who wore the uniform.
During the vietnam war we had blokes doing everything and anything they could to get out of serving in the military.
Now we have some doing everything and anything they can to get in the military.
I guess it says something as to where we are.

That's a lotta medals for a 12-week officer candidate course.
It’s non-discrimination. If the Commander-in-Chief doesn’t have to have documents, why should ANYBODY have to have documents?
But of course everybody but Obama is expected to have documents. America is very vigilant when it comes to straining out gnats, even while we swallow a camel. Because a soldier could kill people, whereas the man who gives orders to millions of soldiers.... is just a harmless little puppy that couldn’t possibly cause direct harm to anybody (thus it’s nobody’s business whether he’s legitimate or not).
The military does have some explaining to do - on many fronts.
If he suddenly found himself alive to day he would be shouting, "It was supposed to be a TV program, not real life!"
Worked for Obama...
If he was only 26, why not just join up?
Hang him. Bill his estate for the rope.
Hang which one - the soldier, or the Commander-in-Chief who tricked their way into position without documentation?
They did the same thing.
Dunno where the Marine E-5 pic came from, but the Army and Marine elements of the story line up. If it helps, the Naval Air Station in Ft Worth is a multi-service base.
I bet he fought in the Civil War.
