90 million gun owners are a force to be reckoned with. The so-called "gun lobby" has its purpose, but it is not hiding under every bed in every case of speaking out. Individuals speak out in their own voice, because individuals suffer various indignities hardly none of us would really stand for. Gun owners put up with a lot of crap, nearly all of it illegal and certainly dangerous.
How gun control goes, so goes the nation. How would you like to be ambushed for your political beliefs? Gun owner or not, how do you feel about courtesies and such in the hospitality industry? Shouldn't they be helpful and neutral? How would you feel if your host hotel disagreed with your politics, acted on that, took your money anyway [gobs of it] and then exposed you to personal risk once they had your money (on the barrel head or credit card)? How does that make our streets safer? It doesn't.

90 million gun owners.

The problem surfaced when, after guests had paid and arrived, the hotel then posted signs advising gun owners of possible criminal prosecution for the simple acts gun owners are likely to do, such as carrying their weapon or checking in with it in their luggage.

so, what’s Marriot going to change its name to after we run their sorry asses out of business?
*** their guests could buy a peck of legal trouble if they should be armed.***
I have NEVER spent a night in a motel or hotel without being armed, except when I had to fly to my destination.
