"The" Winning Strategy for the GOP in Mid-Term Elections
May 20, 2010 | no dems

Most Americans are infuriated that President Calderon, of Mexico, disrespected America today with his rebuke of the Arizona Law before Congress. Almost every Democrat in Congress stood an applauded him when he did so. That could give the GOP an even bigger margin of victory in November. How? Well let me explain:

The number of Americans approving of Arizona's Immigration Law is 84 percent; including 75 percent of the Democrats. So, every GOP Candidate needs to run that news clip of the Liberal Dems in Congress standing to applaud Calderon, and run an ad saying: "Your Congressman, gave a standing ovation to a foreign leader who disrespected your country in our Nation's Capitol. In his nation of Mexico, illegal entry results in imprisonment. Yet he rebukes us just so he can keep 1 billion U.S. dollars flowing back to his country every year. Do you want a Congressman who stands with a foreign leader against the United States? If not, send him home and vote for _____________________"

“Most Americans are infuriated that President Calderon, of Mexico, disrespected America today”

Bullsqueeze. “Most Americans” are far too busy twittering and facebooking about the latest “Idol” gossip.

Good advice, but they won’t take it. Mitch McConnell et al are too “polite” to do such a thing.

What’s the expression - “bringing a knife to a gunfight”? Our guys just don’t know how to fight!

It makes many people hot under the collar today, but don't count on it being the #1 concern come November. Voters have short memories, don't forget.

To paraphrase someone on Slick's campaign staff in 1992 . . it's still the economy, stupid.

I think Republican candidates should advocate US having the same exact Immigration LAWs as Mexico and the Cauldron has in his nation. Then we could be in unity!!!! I can't imagine the religious leaders being against US equalizing ourselves with having the same Immigration LAWs as does Mexico...

If the people do not know what the Mexican Immigration LAW is, they will not understand what an idiot this Cauldron made of himself today.

There is a lot to be proud about today. Even from California; Specially from California.
Tom McClintock. From California 4th Federal Congressional District.
I have not be so proud of my state in decades!

Response to President Calebron

Something another man, a statesman, a president, and an American --- needed to do, and failed miserably.

The debate about illegal immigration can be blended with that about the economy, because of the job situation, especially among those who are looking for entry level jobs, or jobs with minimal skills. These are the jobs being taken by illegals, and this should be stressed in the campaign in November.

It's time to make people mad as hell and throw the bums out of office.

Hello??!!??

And where have YOU been for the last year and a half?
This is the final straw.

It's like inviting the Feuhrer to address The U.S. House of Representatives before the U.S. entered the war against Germany, and having half the House rise and enthusiastically applaud his speech.

Mind-Boggling doesn't come close to describing it!

If this isn't treason, what is it?

He was eloquent, forceful and impassioned. The spirit of 1776 is still alive.

Strengthen the things that remain.

That was James Carville who coined that phrase. But, do not illegals coming here and draining our coffers and sending $1 Billion back home every year to Mexico....does that not come under "the economy"???

The “Religious Leaders” supporting illegal immigration is, predominately, the Catholic Church. They need the monies of the Mexican Catholics (95% of them are Catholic) for their coffers. They lost a lot of money when American Catholics quit the church and joined the Charismatic Movement and also, quit the church because so many Faggot Priests were sodomizing little boys. IT’S ALL ABOUT MONEY...THE CHURCH WANTS THEIR MONEY..............

Wouldn't it be much more effective to point out the damage caused by the Democrats upping the minimum wage, thereby pricing entry-level workers out of the job market?

I don't buy the argument that high unemployment rates are caused by illegals any more than I do the housing bust was caused by sub-prime loans. If it was truly a free market for home loans and employment, you might get away with those claims; however, both are now well-controlled by a gummint that cares more about spreading poverty equally than allowing the private sector to thrive.

Yes the majority are Catholic, but certainly not all, you see, in liberal circles, it is called 'social justice' and there is 'unity' in that circle.... Others playing/pretending will also call it 'compassionate', hoodwinking with deception the hidden goal....

But I see a 'silver' lining in their unity.... And all this bashing the 'mean-spiritedness' of the Arizona law, I think the barn door has been opened by the Cauldron as the scientific methodology to unify US and them.... We should adopt their, the Mexican Immigration LAW.

RUSH read the Mexican Immigration Law on his program today and it is just absolutely marvelous and WE should demand that WE make it OUR own law.

A mere billion? Thats a gnat on the hide of an elephant.

If you're going to use those kinds of tactics, why not make a case against all trade with Mexico?

We import into this country about 1 million barrels of oil each day from Mexico, which at $70/bbl amounts to around $25 billion leaving the country for down south yearly--just for oil. Add in about a half-million turistas from the U.S. visiting Mexico annually and all the trinkets they buy and the tequila and Dos Equus they drink and you have another large dollar drain. Should we ban flights to Cancun, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta until such time as Mexico reciprocates?

I'm not very concerned about how much money leaves this country, however. The dollar is a world currency and relatively stable, in spite of its losing most of its value in the last 40 years. People in other countries still like it and spend it.

Maybe you are concerned; if so, read some Milton Friedman and you'll have a different perspective.
