I agree
I came here form England, I left because England is crap, I lived up north and lived wqon here and thew south I live so much, infact after living in many countries this is by far the best place to live.
I became American , paid my fees, did my interviews , went back when I had to for me to renew my visas
I became a proud American
I had kids here I tell them how England used to be etc, I tell them how and when I did my years serving but I raise my kids American
They are taught to respect the laws, the rules and to give respect, to treat others how they want to be treated, I teach them yes sir and no mam
which I might add when we’re having to go north some get a kick out of it by kids saying that, guess they don’t say things liek that in NY city
In the end we are Americans and my kids know they are lucky to be born here and they know that they have to work for what they want
my oldest is 12, my youngest is 7 and my daughter is 9.All of them know America’s history, they know much more than half the adults here and every day they say their prayers thanking that they are here.
You are more American than most native born Americans. Your children will be wonderful, patriotic adults. I still say yes man and yes sir, often even when I am older than they are. My kids say it as well. They always say please, thank you, and never go to bed in our home or a guests home without saying good night. They have never been in trouble, never done drugs, they are good kids. Teaching your children respect and manners is so important.
