Or rather, 12-year-old Hasan Faruq Ali is struggling to play left-handed in imitation of the character he is portraying in a new Indonesian film, "Little Obama."

The film tells the story of Obama's childhood in Jakarta, where he lived with his mother and Indonesian stepfather from age 6 to 10.
"It's about his friendships, his hobbies, just a childhood story," said screenwriter and co-director Damien Dematra. "It's not about politics, it's just the story of a boy."

It states that he was living in Moslem Indonesia from ages 6-10. It is precisely during that age that American boys become inculcated with the ethos of being American. Somehow I doubt that little Barry Soetoro spent any time immersing himself in Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn, Buffalo Bill Cody, Jackie Robinson, Jim Thorpe, Audie Murphy, inter alia. God only knows what entered into his psyche during that period, living in a Moslem country, with a commie mommy. It sure wasn’t any red-blooded Americanism.
