I noticed that the Wash Po has already started to downplay any hoopla over a possible Repub victory in Hawaii by claiming PA - 12, despite all of Critz’s advantages the MSM is conveniently ignoring, was such a damaging loss for the party heading into the 2010 mid terms.

“home district” Obama hasn’t lived there in 30 years.

The more “home district” is repeated the more embarrassing a Dem loss there will be for him

Send you thanks to Mr. Gleason!

LOL! Jillian gets it!

Remember last week I predicted that the final vote would be Critz 53% Burns 44% and Agoris 3%. And that's what it was.

So for my next prediction, I predict in November Burns will not break 40%.

Gleason wanted a loser, and he got one.

BTW, I don't if you've heard, but Col. Russell has reached out and offered to help Burns in the Fall, even campaign for him. That's the act of man of honor, character, and integrity. I can't begin to express how privileged I am to know Col. Russell and to be thought of by him as a friend.

Gleason had this to say:

"It's heartening to me that he's going to work for Tim. That could be a pretty powerful combination," Gleason said. http://www.wjactv.com/news/23611833/detail.html

Which to me begs the question: "If Burns needs Russell, why did we ever need Burns?"

WOW! Jillian nailed Gleason to the wall with that statement and couldn’t be any more correct. Gleason is in the GOP power structure for his own personal reasons and that’s to pad his pockets.

You definitely nailed it, Smooth. I believe your new prediction won't be far off though with Russell supporting and campaigning for Burns I'll guess he'll be up around 45%.

Russell's offer of help is a most honorable thing after the way he's been treated by Gleason and the establishment Republicans, not only in this campaign but the last one. Bill Russell is definitely a man of honor, character and integrity!

Which to me begs the question: "If Burns needs Russell, why did we ever need Burns?"

We didn't! And Russell may well have beat Critz.

The new buzz emanating from the Burns campaign is that they "learned valuable lessons" and now will "change strategy" and "repackage" Burns for the Fall.

It reminded me of something I'd read....

A large multinational dog food company decided to come out with the latest and greatest dog food. They had their research scientists design the most nutritious combination of ingredients, containing all the essential vitamins and amino acids required by dogs. They had the marketing department put together a most colorful advertisement and a catchy jingo was thought up for their TV commercial. And they spent gobs of money on TV advertising and splashy full page magazine ads. The engineers designed equipment to make this dog food in the most efficient manner, and the packaging department designed a beautiful box for it. The sales force was trained, and every supermarket chain had shelf space devoted to the dog food.

It did not sell.

So the company CEO gathered his top executives together to have a meeting to discover why. He asked each department "Why isn't our dog food selling?" The research department said there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with their formulation. Marketing was completely stumped. The sales force was mystified. No one had a clue as to what was wrong. Finally, after a long pause, a new employee sitting in the back of the room finally got the courage to say "Maybe the dogs don't like it!"

It would be nice for the GOP to win at least one special House election!
