NEW YORK (AP) Disgraced American cyclist Floyd Landis has admitted to systematic use of performance-enhancing drugs and accused seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong of involvement in doping, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
Landis, who was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title for doping but had always denied cheating, sent a series of e-mails to cycling officials and sponsors acknowledging and detailing his long-term use of banned drugs, the newspaper said.
The report said Landis wrote in the e-mails that he started doping in 2002, his first year racing with the U.S. Postal Service team led by Armstrong.
Landis also admitted to doping in an interview with ESPN.com.

I have zero respect for people who lie.
Let me be clear:
These guys=Landis
There is no evidence Armstrong ever did this.
Plus Landis admitted he lied. Remember his ‘I’m innocent’ hysteria? Once a liar...
I have to give Armstrong the benefit of the doubt on this one. Landis is a known liar. Plus, I doubt that any athelete in sports has been tested more than Lance Armstrong for drugs. He’s never popped once. Could Tiger have withstood the same scrutiny? As far as I know, the golf world does not test for drugs at all.
Agree. I do not believe Armstrong doped, as he was tested frequently and never a sign of it.
His training is also legendary.
IMO, Landis is a POS trying to bring Armstrong down with him.
I never believed the victory was legit as he opened up a huge lead out of the blue. Things like that just don’t happen in the TdF.
There was always some doubt that he actually used it since some (few) men produce testosterone that's chemically identical (or enough so to make the current tests useless) to the artificial material, but there was never any evidence provided that Landis had that sort of testosterone.
Sounds like he's admitted using the artificial stuff.
Block packing would seem to be of much more value to the guys on the tours though.
That's actually "normal" in that sport since about 1/3 of the contestants are actually Sa'ami who appear to have some natural adaptation to the sport (having skied for the last 15,000 years or so hunting reindeer).
Bicycling is different. First of all it's done in warm weather, and there's no advantage to being extra large or very small ~ quite the reverse in fact! Plus, people haven't been riding bicycles for thousands of years, so there's no clear indication of "adaptation" ~
If I’m going to have to spend 2 weeks riding a bicycle around freakin’ France, I’m gonna’ want some dope.
“Block packing would seem to be of much more value to the guys on the tours though.”
I assume you meant blood, which would have given him the instant boost. Testosterone does not have that effect on the physiology.
Problem is I am continuing to lose visual quality ~ will be seeing a SURGEON on June 1.
I hope he has other options.
Well, then you will love this: “Landis’ parents did not immediately return a phone message left at their home in Lancaster County, Pa. Paul and Arlene Landis, devout Mennonites, had always defended their son against doping accusations.” If they are Mennonites, they don’t have a phone.
Want to expand on that? Can’t pray for what we don’t know...
But it is a funny observation.
I have dealt with Mennonites and if they are observant, they do not allow phones. However, in the company stores, they do..so I guess if you wanted to call them, you could at work...My point was that the reporter implied that they did not respond without the knowledge that they might not have been able to respond. Hence, another reporter that doesn’t give a damn about facts.
And is woefully uninformed as well.
“I hope he has other options.”
My thoughts are with you, good luck.
I'll let you guys know when the prayers are needed.
