This land was unincorporated. The indians were squatters. It’s American now and has been for 230+ years. Time to get a grip and move on. And forget the apologies.

Really? Unincorporated and you decided that it had to be incorporated according to European laws or you could take it.

Do you want to apologize to the ones who murdered entire tribes? I am talking about Indians who did that. I recall seeing a historical marker near Claremore OK. It detailed the killing of an entire tribe by another tribe.

Do we apologize to the tribe who won? If so then we are the tribe who won so we can apologize to ourselves.

The indians had the same "conquering" rules that we had and the indians spoke of it 200 years ago as their rules also.

The indians played the game and sided with the British and laughed at the idea that the colonists would beat the British Empire.

And so, who would get the lands that the British claimed in America? And that's how we came to be the great nation that we are.

You? The people that did this are dead! But I make no apologies for what our forefathers did in founding this great country. In history wherever there were people lots of bad things happened and the Indians did their fair share of brutal savagery. And I am 1/64th cherokee
