You have to know the area. I’m guessing Specter got the boot because he used to be a Republican. That was Sestak’s message to the Dem voters. Sestak showed Specter being endorsed by President Bush and standing beside Sarah Palin in one ad. He’s a phoney baloney and the old people didn’t go for that. BUT they won’t go so far as to vote Republican.
Toomey is going to have a tough road ahead to the senate running againg Sestak. With the media touting him and the unions supporting him Sestak will have the advantage. I get no satifaction out of Specter’s lose. I would have rather had him as Toomey’s opponent...
No, they won’t. Their brains are frozen in the past, and even then they were wrong. FDR was an evil, evil man, one that could “do business” with Uncle Joe.
Still, on a personal level, I’m glad Arlen’s gone. Nobody loves, or trusts, a traitor, or if that’s too strong a word for you, try the phrase, “someone who betrayed” you or anyone else.
