Anybody believe this? Is this undersea volcanoes or something? Can’t be climate change - the world is cooling.
Oh, it's true. But what they don't mention is that Greenland has been rising since the end of the last Ice Age - more than 10,000 years ago. So is much of Canada, and for the same reason. The tremendous weight of the ice sheets pressed the continental crust down into the mantle.

It’s called isostatic rebound. it’s been going on in many places since the last ice Age ended. it’s the major reason the Great Lakes are draining, teh land is rising up.

Follow this chart back to the source and they explain that some of the “sea level change” logged on the coast of Maine is the land bobbing UP as the glacier melted.
It takes millennia for the land to “rebound.”
