IIRC Sarah was the first out of the box to endorse Rand-—and it made a huge media splash. My KY relatives tell me her endorsement helped drive Johnson out of the race and focused national media attention on the election there.

Fortunately, he'll never get near the presidency, but he can do a lot of damage in our extremely important goal of getting Obama out of office. That's what I'm most afraid of with this particular crazy uncle.

He and his crazy minions.

This is a good call. Im not a fan of the Pauls nor do take them too seriously but Id be glad to vote for Rand THIS TIME.

McConnel needs a good slap down, as do the majority of Republican senators. The dumping of Bennett, Cornyn now a joke, the emergence of Rubio and the real possiblility McCain might be looking for a job is good news to Americans

I accept that Rand Paul is a conservative. He's not in my state but I hope he wins.

Ron Paul is an unpatriotic egomaniac with delusions of Godhood. If you support Ron Paul you support a traitor to this country.

He’s the lifetime politician too. I wonder how he’d fare if a younger conservative ran against him? Probably pretty well.

That is a pretty devastating thing to say about Rand.

Rand is his own man, but he didn't hatch from an egg. Ron Paul is still his father, Rand campaigned for Ron for years -- and the favor was returned when Rand entered the Senate race. Perhaps it wasn't public, but I know how many emails I got (and still get) to contribute to Rand's campaign. Too many important campaigns this year too close to home, but Rand still got $50 of my money and I live in California. I'm sure that I wasn't alone.

Ummmm.......you missed the point entirely.

What a person needs to do to be taken seriously as a conservative is to NOT talk about Ron Paul.

Get it now?

Yeah, cuz there were no hippies, truthers, dopeheads, anti-Semites, neo-Nazis or peacecreeps supporting Ron Paul in 2008.

"Sarah was the first out of the box to endorse Rand-—and it made a huge media splash"

And I'd say that this did as much (if not more) for Sarah's credibility (given her support for McCain, and some other RINO's) as it did for Rand.

It will be interesting to see how Paul does against Conway.

And given there are two Congressional Republican primaries in two districts that Republicans lost to Dems and the Dem vote in the Senate primary is this high, Paul has his work cut out for himself.

His crazy PAID minions.

By the time it counts, everyone will understand that Paulites try to magnify their numbers with obsessive postings everywhere and loud noises.

They're a small minority, for sure, but they're doing their best to create cacophony. Hopefully it will die down before they do any permanent damage.

“Libertarians are only one small step up from full on Liberals. Not a big enough step to get my vote.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

You can dislike libertarians all you want but that statement is ridiculous. The founding fathers had a thousand times more in common with libertarians than with liberals.

Well I admit. I defended Ron during the RNC debates in 2008. The way the other candidates treated him during his responses (primarily Huckabee and McCain laughing at him), it was deplorable. Of course, when you bring the crazy, responses like that do happen.

I also gave Ron tons of credit for his response on abortion to the harpies on The View. He was very kind about his pro life views and actually got them to admit that partial birth was killing a human. He did NOT bring the crazy there and appealed to their heart. It was very good.

Again, Rand doesn’t fair well in your statement, I hope that you people don’t turn off the Kentucky voters and lose this seat.

Why is Sarah Palin getting so much attention, and Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) so little

Because Palin is a great conservative and Paul is an idiot

Actually, I understood what you were saying quite well.

You have still missed my point, but that's OK. I tried.

Ron Paul hasn’t a snowballs chance in Hell of getting elected. The Democrats already own too many of the “kook” voters.
