"I am proud of my service in the United States Marine Corps," Richard Blumenthal (D), candidate for US Senate, said. "Hoo-rah" and "Semper fi" was uttered several times. "I take full responsibility" for misspeaking he said.
"I will not allow anyone to take a few misplaced words and impugn my record of service to our country," he stated. "I served in the United States Marine Corps reserves and I am proud of it," he concluded.
"I did misspeak on a few occasions," he admitted. He also added that he "regretted" it.

When in there were WM’s (Woman Marines) who served and continue to serve Reserve or AD serving is serving.
True my husband was a corpsman.
It was always a dichotomy when the Marines would tell me I wouldn't understand their life being a squid so the trump card that I got to play (often) was I was a Marine while they were in grade school....
Yeah he thought being called a Fleet Marine was interesting.
To this day, I have never forgotten the stories of co-workers that served in country.
It seems absolutely un-frikkin-believable that the very same anti-war, anti-American domestic terrorists are now in the Government. It is a National disgrace.
