If the folks involved had anything to do with the Religion of Peace®, my guesses are:
- Dry run
- Raise the cost of doing business to the western world (return to airport, hotel rooms, etc)
- Create an environment of fear
- Create enough false alerts that no one takes them seriously so they can more easily pull off their next Act of Peace
On the other hand it may have been some Amish on vacation as an earlier post suggested.
