One whore to another.
for the bribe BP paid to get this favorable treatment.
Hello Salazar. Corrupt to the bone.
Who gives a flying F. So more crap to wade through while almost a dozen other Nations drill right in the same spot we would have. Damn Government, it is killing America.
I’m a South Alabama resident who owns multiple properties throughout the region with several on the water. I have good reason to give a “flying F”
BP dropped the ball. So did the Obama administration. Both should pay for that.
Responding to the accusations that agency scientists were being silenced, Ms. Barkoff added, Under the previous administration, there was a pattern of suppressing science in decisions, and we are working very hard to change the culture and empower scientists in the Department of the Interior.
Obama is really going to need these presidential terms lengthened to turn everything around.
So all we needed was another govt permit and this spill would have been avoided? That’s good to know the magical properties of govt permits.

Have you seen any oil?
I am voting for Chuck Devore!
Boxer is a moron.
Boxer is a zombie sheep.
Boxer is a Kool Aid drinker.
Boxer is a socialist if not an outright commie.
Boxre is one of the most arrogant politicians ever to be elected in California.
So is Pelosi.
Vote them out, California!
The only thing more oilier than the BP spill is the political leaders in DC.
Now, true to mac daddies real character, he is throwing them under the bus.
Mac daddy is without ANY blame of ANYTHING.
Sorry BP but you’re getting f’d by the real mac daddy, suckers.
Are you on the right thread?
This topic is about the Deepwater Horizon spill and associated permits.
Some tar balls came up on Dauphin Island, where I do own property. I haven’t been down there yet to clean it up but probably will at some point.
The point is, this was malfeasance of the worst kind on the part of BP. They are at fault for this one. Most oil companies operating in the Gulf haven’t had the record of problems that they had. It suggests that there is something wrong with the company and it is only bolstered when the company gives all that money to Obama and then he goes out of his way to shield BP and give them special favors.
how about a “reward?”
Drill, baby, drill! Trust but verify. Ensure safeguards are in place to prevemt spills and leaks.
We also need to start leading a lot more nuclear power planrs in all states as well as to do research on how to reuse and recycle nuclear waste by products instead of worrying about disposal.
My point is that we should actually see what kind of devastation there is before we panic. If we believed the MSM about all this, the entire coast of the Gulf is swimming in oil. From what FReepers are saying, nothing is happening yet.
I don’t want you to think I am being flippant in this. I truly feel for you and think that any damage should be compensated, however, I’ve seen people panic many times and the actual outcome is far less devastating.
