Wow...that’s what the lefties accused the GOP of doing, remember?
Local media here is reporting over 1,000 for the Critz-Clinton lovefest.
Scott Brown and Tom Corbett headlined a rally in Washington, Pa.(my hometown) for Burns on Friday. It drew 75 people. Counting media, Burns volunteers, local cops and security for Corbett and Burns, the headcount was about 125.
Yep!
wow..that’s not very good.

I posted this previously, but just so it gets visibility:
Go Russell!I got the following in my email earlier today:
Best Republican Strategy
for the
Special Election and the Republican Primary Election
There are two Congressional Elections taking place on Tuesday, May 18th in Pennsylvanias 12th Congressional District. The first is the Special Election to fill the vacancy created by the death of Congressman John Murtha; and the second is the Republican Primary to determine which Republican (William Russell or Tim Burns) will be on the ballot in November.
Special Election: The Republican Party bosses selected Tim Burns to represent the Party in the Special Election and likewise, Mark Critz was selected by his party. Republicans should vote for Tim Burns to help him defeat Democrat Mark Critz in this important election. The winner will fill the remainder of John Murthas term which expires in January 2011.
Republican Primary Election: The Primary winner will be on the ballot in November with the winner serving a full two-year term (Jan. 2011 - Jan. 2013). The wise choice here is to vote for William Russell to be the nominee.
Best Republican Strategy: By voting for Burns in the Special Election and Russell in the Primary, Republicans get the biggest bang for their vote. Heres why: If Tim Burns wins the Special Election and William Russell wins the Primary, we will have a Republican following a Republican. If Burns loses the Special Election (and currently the polls have him behind by 6-8 points), and Russell wins the Primary, we will send a fresh "winner" against the Democrat in November.
The worst scenario is that Burns loses the Special Election and wins the Primary. In this case the Republicans are sending a "loser" for a rematch in November against the Democrat, Mark Critz.
Paid for by William Russell for Congress. As others noted, Fast Eddie has purposely set the Special Election - for this ONE district - to 'compete' WITHIN the General Primary, hoping to confuse the Bible-Thumping Bitter-Clinging Rednecks for Murtha's old slot.
GO RUSSELL GO !!
Now you’re talking.
Considering (1) the overwhelming Dem registration in this gerrymandered district and (2) the inevitable confusion that comes from the primary the same day, this result itself is remarkable.
And if it’s anywhere near this close — no matter how it turns out, it’s bad news for Democrats. Bad news.
The PPP has it 48 Burns 47 Critz. The April 20th PPP poll had it 44 Burns 41 Critz.
As Dan Rather would say;"That's tighter than the lugnuts on a rusted-out '55 Chevy!". :o)
It was very disappointing.
Last Price: 36.0 -14.0
You can buy this at 55.0
You can sell this at 35.1
I live far away but donated to Burns.
A Burns win will send the dems into a panic.
People need to go door to door to get this seat filled with a conservative.
