I met Tom (briefly) at the NRA show on Sat. Nice feller, and he flys one sweet airplane, similiar to mine! BTW- I got my 11 yr old son a lifetime membership while there. I bet he’s the only kid in his middle school who is a lifetime member of the NRA!

I really like the 40, but for carry I think 45 would be better.
The idea of over penetration in a crowded CCW scenario scares me.
I dont want anyone but the bad guy getting hurt.

Ooomph, as in the target is stopped, is a matter of bullet “terminal performance”. Modern 9mm ammo is deadly. Just pick one that your gun likes, which you've prolly already done, and carry on. /two cents

I really like the 40, but for carry I think 45 would be better.I have 45's, but none are the size of the G27/G27. I also have a G29 in 10mm, and wile it's listed as a subcompact, it is much bigger, heavier than the 26 or 27.
