It’s because of tax cuts.
If we were allowed to raise taxes to a reasonable level (say 100%) we wouldn’t have to do this.
But because you little people are greedy and stupid, I guess we’ll just have to live without the paradise.
/sarcasm
When someone is no longer able to vote democrat why waste money on them?
In law.
It’s not in the Constitution but LBJ and the libs pushed it on us anyway. If they’re not going to provide the service now that I’m old and grey, please refund all the money they stole from me since 1966 to pay for it. Same goes for social security. It’s my money dammit.
did someone say PELOSI (Palliative End of Life Optimum Serenity Initiative)?
And make that WITH interest and penalties please.
Where is it written that we are entitled to taxpayer dollars for our medical difficulties?
***********************************************
If I am not entitled to taxpayer dollars for medical difficulties, then stop taking my taxpayer dollars for it!
The ponzi scheme called Medicaid for $100 Alex.
Yep, that’s the plan. Re-educate the young and let the elderly die.
If Iraqis can get tax dollars for medical treatment, why shouldn’t U.S. citizens? If tens of billions of dollars can go to treat Africans, why not U.S. citizens?
If my hard earned dollars are taken to provide care for me why should those dollars not be used for that purpose?
We’re old and falling apart now but we didn’t protest loud enough when they started deducting the taxes from our paychecks for the social services that robbed America of self reliant citizens. Nope, we knew they were going to screw us now that we need them to take care of us.
I remember when we were giving money to every poor country in the world and so proud to do it too but we never voted on doing it, did we?
Republicans controlled the Senate, Congress and the White House for six years, from 2000 to 2006. That was when we should have demanded he straighten out the errors but no, Bush was the man who could do no wrong.
Is anyone surprised? Everyone knew this would be one of the by-products of Obamacare; it’s kicking in early.
If you want to control, it's a pretty good plan.
The aged are less likely to be fooled by gimmicks like the hopelessly lame "hope and change" mantra. The young however, are trusting and if you involve them in a way that makes them feel important, will vote for a candidate without thinking at all.
The problem cannot be "solved." solutions can only be "agreed on" and, so long as the agreement applies to everyone uniformly it is both moral and ethical.
Underpinning the "debates" are several realities. One is that the American taxpayer can't afford, literally, to bear the expense of everyone in the world with similar permanent incurable or untreatable diseases.
Two - People who can afford it and/or are willing to bankrupt their families are free to do so at their option.
Three- other people, family, friends and strangers are free to contribute indefinitely on a voluntary basis.
Four - The law must expressly state that no one may be required, under any circumstances to contribute to any "unusual" event without their explicit consent.
I see your perfectly rational point.
Obama's stash, or ObamaMoney as some call it, it limitless. He has a straight pipeline to the Money Fairy.
Why didn't I think of that?
Well, the distinction is critical. You can't really discuss the topic with a firm grasp.
Medicare - Medical expenses which taxpayers are entitled to after a lifetime of unconscionable tax payments to the Federal Government.
Medicaid - Mandatory Charity extracted at the point of a gun by politicians, who wanted to confuse you (successfuly, it seems) by giving it a politically-correct euphemistic name.
Wow.
Mass confusion here today...
Medicare - Workers pay for their entire lives; every paycheck without exception.
Medicaid - Welfare for medical expenses with a misleading name, always paid for by someone other than the recipient.
That said...she has just been denied testing for two conditions that she has. One is sleep apnea and the other is a COPD related problem. She is shocked. And so are we. This is medicare and it is not there for her.
No, you got me wrong on that one. I’m saying end medicaid medicare all together and give those people vouchers to buy their own insurance. Many of those people are disabled or old. One baby at our church is in desperate need of surgery on his back. He was born with a disconnected spine. The only doc who can do it is in WI, the baby lives in MI. MI won’t pay for him to have his surgery in WI. The cost of the surgery is well over 100k. The doc says without the surgery the little guy will be paralyzed for life in a matter of months. You can’t cross state lines when you have medicaid, They won’t pay for you to have any care in other states. If it were vouchers only, no government involvement, then you could get coverage in other states. Like anyone else can with regular insurance.
