Give me a break. Are you going to stand up for the right of crazy people and felons to rent guns? Not me. And by the way, the NRA is also opposed to the idea of mental defects and felons being permitted to have guns. Law abiding gun owners do not benefit from letting crazies and felons have guns.

You do know that they can’t leave the shooting range with the gun, don’t you?

No, I'm standing up for the right of sane law-abiding people to rent weapons without their employees (at the gun range OR the statehouse) knowing their business.

“Law abiding gun owners do not benefit from letting crazies and felons have guns.”

I’m not defending the guy but who gets to say whether a person is a mental defect? According to the libs gun owners are mental defects. And I wouldn’t trust the NRA to defend your rights either.

Felons and crazies don't have guns around people like me as they tend to end up DEAD.

Pull your head out of your arse, right now.

Seriously.

Actually the NRA isn’t for that at all. The NRA is for the idea if a person is safe enough to walk the streets, they have every Right as an American citizen.

If a person is so crazy and/or that dangerous, they should be behind bars where they belong.

And now, I’ll have to explain the facts of life to you that your parents forgot to tell you. People die. Stupid people die in stupid ways. There is no way to idiot proof every building roof so no one can jump off. No car in the world that can’t kill the occupants if the driver so chooses.
Stupid people can cut their wrists with broken bottles, jump off bridges, drink gasoline and paint thinner and stick their heads into plastic bags.

So quit legislating my guns.

The NRA is in favor of most gun control, they just want it enacted in smaller pieces than HCI. http://www.nrawol.net/

The NICS checks are unconstitutional on many levels and need to be abolished. God given, constitutionally protected rights can not be subject to prior restraint. Background checks do nothing but harass law abiding gun owners. It is the obligation of all freedom loving citizens to try to get this system overturned.

It's illegal for felons to rent guns.

I don’t have a problem with felons legally owning guns.

If they have rehabbed, then they deserve one; if they haven’t then I’m assuming they’ll get one if they want one.

They’ve either paid their debt to society or they haven’t.

Law abiding gun owners do not profit from supporting further erosion of their own liberties, either.

You are proposing making the range owner responsible for the acts of someone else who breaks the law. How would it suit you to be charged with burglary because your neighbor broke into someone’s house?

"Law abiding gun owners do not benefit from letting crazies and felons have guns."

Big, intrusive governments benefit greatly from labeling their opponents as crazies. It was SOP in the former Soviet Union.
