Left-wing American linguist Professor Noam Chomsky was denied entry into Israel on Sunday, for reasons that were not immediately clear.
Chomsky, who was scheduled to deliver a lecture at Bir Zeit University near Jerusalem, told the Right to Enter activist group by telephone that inspectors had stamped the words "denied entry" onto his passport when he tried to cross from Jordan over Allenby Bridge.

So, umm, professor, you’re heading on over to Israel to do a lecture and decide that Jordan’s a much more lovely country to begin your visit at, and then you just happen to arrive at a bridge with a whole bunch of people and look all shocked and outraged when your passport gets stamped ‘denied entry’?
Or is it exactly as it appears, just another sham event by a liberal who knew that if he tried to fly into Israel, he’d just be denied entry, but there’s no way for fellow activists and cameras to be on hand to document this SHOCKING event...
Living in a state of constant danger, Israel deserves praise for how they handle their borders.

Expect the US State Dept to raise an uproar about Free Speech, blah, blah, blah. This will be an opportunity for the US State Dept to impose sanctions on Israel.
Also, don’t expect the US State Dept to se much as acknowledge that Coulter wasn’t allowed to speak in Canada or that Savage was unwelcome in the UK.

Wonder if mike savage can go into England yet? They have denied him entrance, so they do know HOW to protect their borders.

Probably for his own protection. He cavorts with the enemy, and it’d be a real shame if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time (ala Rachel Corrie) and some sniper took him out.
