I have absolute contempt for George W. Bush. Now I’m not too crazy about his wife. In fact, I hope never to see another Bush in public office. They just can’t be trusted.

I’ll never understand why the Bush’s let B.J. Clinton into their family circle. He is simply using them in an attempt to restore his sordid image. Then again, maybe they’re not really all that different from him.
But .. I’m sure you think Obama can be trusted ..?? Right ..??

I never was too crazy about George W. Bush as a candidate, or a president.
But he was who he was from the beginning - a “compassionate conservative” was his refrain from the 2000 campaign.
They (the Bush clan) can be trusted to be exactly who they are - political moderates and statists - and we do not need (and never needed) what they are in the presidency.
We got Clinton, and we got Obama out of Bush presidencies. I shudder to think what we would get out of another Bush presidency, if one had to think seriously on that hypothetical (and we don’t, thank goodness).
As for Laura - She doesn’t matter now. But at least we now know that she was good at faking being a dignified First Lady. I suppose that was all we could ask for. She was almost as good as Michelle is at faking NOT being an “I hate America” commie.
