And there’s the question why Cheney didn’t ask if there were any objections on the electoral vote -

“President of the US Senate, Dick Cheney and the US Congress failed to abide by the US Code of Federal Regulations by not calling for objections.

That fact has troubled me deeply, since it first came to light. There has never been a logical answer from Dick Cheney about why he didn't call for objections on the final electoral vote, per the law.

The inescapable conclusion is that Cheney purposely did not call for objections on the final vote for some reason, which hurts the mind to even contemplate.

Not only did he not call for objections, he ignored the ones who were shouting at him to call for them because they were objecting. He slammed the gaval so fast, it seemed absurd.

Until that moment, I thought those who thought Bush/Cheney were involved in something illicit were nuts. My heart hurt to contemplate what that meant. I hate to start feeling like Dale Gribble, but it seems that the machine is too large for any of us to get to. Watergate happened because the powers that be wanted it to happen. If the powers didn’t want it making a difference, Nixon would have been in office until his terms were up.
