Sure he was! The Nation of Islam opened the 67 Islamic Temple on 5943 Empire Way Seattle, Wash. in 1960. Also, (and I know the dates aren’t exact) but Malcolm X marched with MLK Jr at the World’s Fair in Seattle in 1961.
