Sad news. I just heard from her daughter that FReeper Bahbah passed away this morning from a ruptured aneurysm while making breakfast. Her family was with her when she passed and she was peaceful.
Rest in peace dear FRiend.
Prayers for her family and loved ones.
What a terrible loss for all of us here! I can hardly imagine what it’s like for her family and hope they can take comfort from her peaceful passing.
This is such a shock. She always had a kind word and was ready to join in at the last minute. Condolences to her family as they will miss her so.
RIP, Bahbah. I hate to hear this - she was a good FReeper and will be missed.
Prayers up for comfort and peace for her loved ones.
When the husband of my longtime friend and publishing colleague collapsed and later died, there was no doubt that life had slipped away from him. There were witnesses. The same was true when Jesus died. But three days later, Jesus was raised from the dead! We have no doubt that this is true because there were witnesses who later saw Him alive.
When we gathered for Daves memorial service, we read familiar passages of Scripture that affirm our hope that he is now enjoying new life in heaven. But we claimed these promises by faith because none of us witnessed Dave go to heaven. There was, however, a witness who saw Jesus in heaven. Not long after witnesses saw Jesus ascend (Acts 1:9), Stephen saw the heavens open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God! (7:56). One of the reasons we know that Jesus spoke the truth about going to prepare a place for us (John 14:2) is that He has been seen alive in heaven.
When a loved one goes ahead of us to heaven, we feel as if were being pulled in the opposite directiondown into an abyss of sadness. Yet, because God kept His promise to raise Christ and take Him to heaven, we can trust Him to do the same for all who love and follow Him.
My condolences to the family.
Rest in Peace, old friend.
Same here ... Woke up this morning and thought this had to be a dream.
Still don't know what to say ... I'll type something, then backspace over it ...
our FReeper family is indeed special
(((It sure is)))
Prayers for both of Bahbah's families.
That is truly beautiful, Star.
RIP Dear One!
May Bahbah rest in peace, we know she is in her Lord’s arms now.
We are certainly going to miss her...
Thanks for the ping, Ohio.
Prayers for her family. She is with the Lord now.
You two holding up OK?
Have either of you been in touch with her family? How are they doing?
So sad, so sudden. :-(
"Hatch is beyond compromised. He became best buddies with a man who killed a girl and lied about it. Who continued to lie year after year on the Senate floor. Who offered to work with the Soviets to damage Reagan. A man who decided he would prove his "goodness" by making others pay for it. He long ago lost his principles and his manhood, and he isn't even aware of it. Like Bennett." -- Bahbah
Making breakfast for her family one moment and gone the next. How very shocking and sad for all of them. Prayers all around. We never know from one second to the next what will happen.
May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God...rest in peace. Amen.
Done Brad’s Gramma...done! :(
Oh, no! :*(
Condolences to the family and friends of ‘BahBah’—I was sorry to see the news this morning. Prayers going up for all-{{{Hugs}}}
It's quite telling to see how many people on this thread have already mentioned that she was one of those rare souls on this forum who never failed to bring the "class" level up on every thread she participated, isn't it? How true that is - she'll be absolutely irreplaceable to FR in that sense.
I can only offer her real life family, her FR family & especially all her fellow Snowflakes who loved her so dearly my deepest, warmest sympathy & prayers that your grief will soon be overtaken with the joy that comes from realizing how truly blessed you all were with the privilege of having someone so special connected to each of your lives - even if for some of you that connection was only shared through a keyboard.
Having witnessed the affectionate comraderie she shared with all of you Snowflakes for years, I know that every last one of you will surely suffer for the loss of your lovely, lovely friend for a very long time, but don't ever let your sadness prevent you from celebrating the wonderfully fun memories she left behind as mementos of her bonds with all of you within each of your own hearts.
RDB3, speaking of fun, perhaps she didn't invent SNOQ, and my memory is the absolute worst, but didn't she start everybody using "THUD"? It was such a fabulously useful word and it's one I still use in real life to this day whenever I see a thudaliciously handsome man.;-)
