U.S. House candidate Chris Nelson earlier this week dismissed birther statements attributed to him and said he believes Barack Obama is a natural-born U.S. citizen and the legitimately elected president of the United States.
So does Eleanor Nordyke and according to her, she should know.
Nordyke, 82, of Honolulu, Hawaii, says that on Aug. 4, 1961, she was in labor with her twin daughters Susan and Gretchen at Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital the same place Barack Obama was being born. The hospital has since been renamed Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
Birthers is the term given to those who believe Obama was not born in the United States and does not, therefore, meet a primary qualification for the presidency.
Nordyke, in a Friday telephone interview with The Daily Republic, said the birthers have consistently discounted her testimony. She is certain they are wrong.

I don’t see anything that she was witness to that contradicts anything. Did I miss something?
Who was the attending physician? Was the father actually Barack Hussein Muhammed Obama, Sr.? If so, nothing else matters, because then Mr. Obama could not and cannot be a natural born citizen!
She recalls that Obamas birth notice was published several days before her daughters notice, even though Obamas mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was admitted to Kapiolani Hospital after Nordyke entered the hospital. Obama was born on a Friday, and the Nordyke twins were born on a Saturday, she said.
Nordykes late husband, Dr. Robert Nordyke, was an internal medicine specialist at Honolulus Straub Clinic.
My daughters birth certificates were 10637 and 10638, and Obamas was 10641, so his mother must have come in after I did, Nordyke said, though she never met Obamas mother.
Must have??? She doesn’t know for sure.
We will likely never know whom was the little one actually born to and given the birth cert number Barry is using. But someone has to keep looking ...
Lets say he was born in Hawaii. His father was a not born in the U.S. so he is not a natural born citizen.
Hawaii law prevents the release of full long form birth information to anyone but family members, Nordyke said, so for the birthers to keep clamoring for it is ridiculous.
Everyone realizes the BC can only be released to O himself. The question is, why doesn't "he" release it.
Birthers is the term given to those who believe Obama was not born in the United States
Actually, I suppose "birther" could refer to people who think its odd that he refuses to release his birth certificate or his college records or his passport records or in fact any of his paper trail. He is the man without a past; he is the man who never was. "Birthers" are apparently the only people in America who think thats strange.
"Journalist" is the term of art we use for people who think its embarrassing to ask what it is that O is hiding.
You gotta love how, out of the blue, the author says that race seems important to the birthers, but was never an issue at Obama’s Punahou school. What the heck? Slurring anyone with concerns about Obama’s eligibility as racist and lifting Obama above such low-brow people all at the same time and with zero justification.
On a separate note, no matter where Obama was born, there are still questions about his eligibility (Indonesian adoption, Kenyan father, British citizenship, ‘81 Pakistan trip, etc.).
It’s a re-hash of what she said before. Slobbery kisses. She doesn’t say she remembers baby 0thugga or his mother! She has no memory of them at the hospital or even any contemporaneous second or third hand stories. It’s a slimey puff piece and I swear she was coached as well.
It makes rock groupies look rational.
Questions:
- How accurate is a memory of events multiple decades ago? Sometimes I forgot what I had for breakfast... or if I had breakfast.
- The lady mentions the birth announcement in the paper; did she see Obama, his mother, and/or his father while in the hospital?
If she did not actually see them, her testimony is ONLY hearsay.
She has never said she remembers them at the hospital. She’s just a willing, coached, prop piece.
She mentions the birth announcement and weird dating connected with it because she was coached. There is no doubt about it.
I didn’t either.
yeah right your giving birth to twins and you hve time to pay attention to whats going on in he bed next to you, and thru all that you remmber the nams of those unimportant to you?
>She mentions the birth announcement and weird dating connected with it because she was coached. There is no doubt about it.
I’m inclined to agree; why would she remember a birth-announcement from some unknown, about some random person, multiple decades later?
True, some people do have photographic and near-photographic memories, but they’re fairly rare & nothing has been said about it. {I assume that if she even claimed to have near-photographic memory it would be “highlighted, boldfaced, & underlined” in the article.}
No. "Birther" referes to the lack of natural born citizen status for any reason whatsoever. All this talk about a birth certificate - even if it is true - takes the focus off the known, established fact that Obama's father was a British citizen through Kenya. That alone denies him natural born citizen status, period, end of discussion. Anything germaine on the birth certificate is just extras.
Grandma must have been “loaded”! Private school tuition and 3 week cruises in Tahiti et.al.
There was an almost identical “interview” with hear a year or more ago, some of it almost word for word. But this time the birth announcement stuff is trotted in. The handlers who coached her made her say that stuff because now “it’s out there”, it wasn’t out there say a year and a half or couple years ago. It was discussed on FR but not so much and not out in the ethers.
Let’s see her copy of the Honolulu papers with her babies’ birth announcements! Then we’ll talk!
She was reading a script.
Journalist is just the commonly used word for propagandist.
