Pat Metheny Group

Patrick Bruce "Pat" Metheny (pronounced muh-THEE-nee; born August 12, 1954) is an American jazz guitarist and composer.

One of the most successful and critically acclaimed jazz musicians to come to prominence in the 1970s and '80s, he is the leader of the Pat Metheny Group and is also involved in duets, solo works and other side projects. His style incorporates elements of progressive and contemporary jazz, post-bop, latin jazz and jazz fusion. Pat Metheny has three gold albums and 17 Grammy Awards.

I changed my state withholding to 31% & someone decided that instead of 31% state with holding based on my Fed tax they would give the state 31% of my GROSS INCOME!

Not too happy about that.....*sigh*

Four years??

My conditioned worsened over a week's time until I finally saw my doctor, who referred me to a specialist. She took x-rays, viewed 'em and gave me a cortisone shot just above my shoulder blade. Two hours later the pain went away and four hours later I could lift my arm above my head.

The most remarkable thing was that I'd been told cortisone shots to the tendon hurt like hell.....I didn't feel a thing.

The local chamber music society is full of libs, although a few of us R's gather around and whisper conspiratorily.

The lady who runs the artistic side, however, is the mother of two of the leading conservative writers in Europe today, but she keeps her politics to herself.

The musicians who come for the summer are primarily lefties, including a cellist who is a personal friend. However, the musicians who are Israelis usually pass me a look when one of the New York-based musicians goes off about the war, impeaching Bush or worshipping Obama.

One musician, whom I never would have suspected, is a follower of Ayn Rand, favors a return to the gold standard and wants to read my book about Atlas Shrugged once I get it published.

It's not all left wing here. Just mostly left wing.
