One of my guilty pleasures, though, is McDonald's french fries. I lust after them. The only thing I wish they would change is the salt they put on them - sometimes I'll get a box where I swear they dumped a half a cup of salt on them.

It would be nice if they would just serve their fries without salt, and give you some of those little salt packets so you can just add the amount you want.

The amount of salt on the fries varies from location to location. Some use restraint with the salt shaker and others absolutely cover the fries in salt.
