That’s a riot! No, correct that, it’s “honest and refreshing”. LOL! I love Christie! I don’t understand why we don’t hear more about him from other Republicans.
My sister, back in PA, says that he doesn’t get the respect because of his weight. I know Christie would say, “this is who I am,” but if it is standing in the way of a national presence and respect, I’d love to see someone convince him to lose weight. This man could do a lot for the GOP brand across the country.
That’s how Rudy often handled the press. Hopefully, Christie doesn’t have Rudy’s mile wide liberal streak.

I agree with you both. The reason so many people voted for Arnold(conservatives anyway)wasn't because of the celebrity status so much as he talked tough and we thought he was going to BE tough. As soon as he ran into a little trouble he turned into a frickin wimp. At least I didn't vote for him the second time around.
Yesterday I loved the Christie and Haley videos. They made my day and gave me real hope for our country’s future.
But today, A Tale of Two Americas moved me to my soul. Thank you for posting. It’s a long video, but it’s not TOO long. God Bless America and God Bless men and women like these.
The comments were made this week that all of the Supreme Court justices were products of Harvard, Yale, and other elitist schools of the Ivy League — that most of them came from NYC and environs, or from the incestuous world of academia. Seems to me that we need some justices from the OTHER AMERICA with OTHER experiences. We need some military men, or women. Or, some justices from the Heartland who stayed there and didn’t run away to hide in the snobbery of north east academia. Justices who don’t think that Sarah Palin “talks funny” and who see the value of students working their way through college so that they don’t graduate with humongous debts.
Perhaps your sister is a snob. We can pray that with maturity she will become more understanding and will able to see through appearance to recognize character.
Actually, my sister is over weight, herself. She knows what appearance means to acceptability. The problem is that too many voters don’t look beyond the appearance.
I like Christie’s heft. It makes him all the more intimidating to weasel lib reporters and the like. Christie is like the AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio of New Jersey. No mealy mouthing from either of them. Straight shooters.
