NATO code compromise
The Washington Times ^ | 5/13/2010 | Bill Gertz

The recent crash of a Polish military transport that killed most of Warsaw's senior civilian and military leaders was not only a human catastrophe for a key U.S. ally. NATO sources said that, in addition to the loss of nearly 100 pro-U.S. Polish leaders, the crash provided Moscow with a windfall of secrets.

The crash killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski in western Russia on April 10 and decapitated Poland's military, killing two service chiefs, key military aides and several national security officials, many of whom were carrying computers and pocket memory sticks that contained sensitive NATO data.

Perhaps the most significant compromise, according to a NATO intelligence source, is that the Russians are suspected of obtaining ultrasecret codes used by NATO militaries for secure satellite communications.

Just how stupid do you have to be to load all your ultra secret NATO data on an old Russian plane and fly it into Russia?

I'll bet the crypto keys were changed before the bodies cooled to room temperature.

I decided to Search keyword “russiasmilitary”. I was interested to see a number of articles dated around 2010 regarding Russian efforts to upgrade their military armaments, especially missiles and artillery. Then I saw this article about a large number of Poland’s leadership and NATO activists being killed in a crash over Russia.

I would guess that all these activities and this event were probably part of Putin’s plans culminating in the 2014 invasion of Crimea and subversion of Eastern Ukraine. Anyone selling the idea “not my country, not my war, not interested” is either ignorant of how Putin’s mind and plans are developed or is an agent for Putin trying to promote political apathy in the US. Obviously, eliminating this many political leaders in Poland is a useful step in Putinesque long range planning to also invade and conquer Poland some time in the near future.

And it happened on the 70th anniversary of the Russian massacre of thousands of Polish military officers and elites in the Katyn forest near Smolensk...
Interesting... to say the least!

“In the 1980s and ‘90s, evidence revealed by Soviet and Russian historians that Soviet secret police, not Nazi guards, had committed the killings had helped ease tensions. On April 10, 2010, a Polish Air Force jet carrying 96 members of Poland’s government and their relatives flew from Warsaw to Smolensk to mark the 70th anniversary of the killings — a landmark event in the two countries’ relations.”

“Poland alleging that the crash was intentional, blaming Russian air-traffic controllers and speculating about the presence of explosive traces. Russia, meanwhile, REFUSED TO TURN OVER THE PLANE’S FLIGHT RECORDERS. “

I am skeptical of this. US and NATO allied head of state aircraft carry secure communications. They are not flying archives of classified material. The Polish President's plane is not going to have US or NATO spy satellite material on it.

The pilots were under pressure from above, flying in unsafe conditions. Politicians are not immune from unsafe flying in unsafe conditions by over stressed flight crews.

“The Polish President’s plane is not going to have US or NATO spy satellite material on it.”

What kind of secret material would a US president have been carrying on board Air Force One 15 years ago? This to provide special information while traveling and having high level meetings. Then compare that with what it is said was on the Polish president’s plane. Then again perhaps a Russian spy was involved in trip planning and slipped material aboard that should not have been there.

NATO wasn’t compromised. But alongside the other coincidences, consider that Lech warned Ukraine in 2008 that the Russian invasion of Georgia was simply the first step with similar actions planned in Ukraine.

The Russian Federation security apparatus had already revealed the intentions. The plans to reabsorb the “independent states” west of Moscow into the Russian Federation had already been leaked. We now know that some of the ‘Stans are aware of voices in Moscow talking about THEIR annexation.

Putin could go on American national television and walk the audience through the vision (just like Lukashenko already did!) and there’d still be pro Russian Vranyo gobblers on here dismissing it as Russophobic western propaganda.

But it’s not America’s problem. Well, it is kinda because, like, you’re on the UNSC and you’re signatories to multiple international treaties guaranteeing the independence of UN Charter member countries formed after the collapse of the USSR while Putin’s regime is looking to take the “independence” out of the CIS.

China’s the real danger. Until Putin’s revoked the “independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Russia’s neighbours, rebuilt his empire and turned the Russian Federation’s population outside of Muscovy into a full military enterprise fed on false history and cult-like devotion to the Dear Leader... like North Korea. Then you’ll have two threats not one.

That is correct.

PLF_101 had communications technology and records necessary for the President of Poland, not every secret in the US and NATO.

The unmitigated screw up was in the training and performance of the flight crew and their familiarity with the aircraft.

However in 2010 this was a major screw up, and it is unknown how much Russia had archived themselves.
