Posted on 05/13/2010 11:51:47 AM PDT by McGavin999
This is a link to the article by E. J. Montini. Sorry but we can only post links but it's well worth the trip to McCain Vanishing from Race with JD
Even Montini is laughing at McCain and his new ad.

McHayworth....gotta love the irony. McCain isn't fooling anyone with his "build the "dang" fence" Ad.
Some media person or blogger said that McCain's new Ad is the worst political Ad in the history of our Country, then added "congratulations John". McCain's "Dukakis" moment?

It’s not a good time to be a RINO, but at least Juan can see the handwriting on the wall.

What Montini is saying is the liberal "maverick" is vanishing. He agrees with us that McCain isn't pivoting to the right...he's pandering to the right. McCain as a self described maverick ... although lately has been playing it down to the extent that the maverick term has been struck from the dialog ... was never a maverick. McCain is a loose cannon ... a much more accurate description of the man.

It’s obviously time for McCain to suspend his campaign and tell people at rallies what a great person Hayworth is.

Bob Bennett's removal sent a message to the RNC.
If McCain loses the primary, it will send an earthquake.
Are they capable of reading it?
Read the main article in this thread:
It's a painful thing to imagine Robert Bennett over the past few days, sitting alone in a darkened room, staring off into space wondering what hit him and whistling Nick Cave's "There She Goes My Beautiful World" over and over again. It happened quickly. Events in politics aren't supposed to happen that quickly. It came out of nowhere, with next to no warning at all. Even a few weeks ago, there was little sign that Bennett was in trouble. Then the spirit of 2010 suddenly rose out the darkness and took him down. It also wrong-footed the chattering classes, most...

McCain has peaked too early and shot his wad.
He is toast. I live in Phoenix.

He has a big wad to shoot. He had $5 million in his senate chest and $20 million left over from his presidential run. That's a formitable number for JD to overcome.
The advantage JD has is so many good soundbites right out of McCain's own mouth. All he has to do is run ads using those and he doesn't have to say anything except "Vote JD Hayworth" at the end.

His most recent uttering on the subject is that he is
not a "maverick." Get with the program, dude...

I just wonder how a state that just passed that immigration bill that Gov Brewer signed can vote for a man like McCain over and over again.
I told my husband this morning that AZ is leading the nation!

“McCain as a self described maverick ...”
.
Does that mean that all one has to do is to ‘reach across the aisle’ to become a maverick?

“A lot of conservatives in Arizona are worried that JD wont be able to win against a Democrat. Some of them are voting for McCain for that reason”
I am one of them. I am not a McCain fan, but I do not think JD can when a State wide race. JD has some of his own baggage to worry about and you better believe the dems are hoping JD wins. For those of you who say voting for McCain is voting for a dem I disagree. You are not going to be able to elect a strong conservative in every race. I would much rather have a “Rino” republican than a Dem!
