It's a shame the people running this school district are denying these girls this honor because of political beliefs.

alright, the left wants conflict and to use innocents as pawns in their war on the US. Who knows what on Suzan Hebson and how can it be used?

There is talk that the reason for cancelling the trip and thus forfeiting the game, is because there are illegals on the team.
Recruiting non citizens would require forfeiture of all wins to date

Once again, do cities have to comply with the "full faith and credit" clause in the Constitution that binds states to accept the laws of other states?
Is it unconstitutional for cities to boycott Arizona?

Excerpt from one article on this:
"District 113 Superintendent George Fornero indicated there was some support for the cancellation when he told the Tribune it "wasn't just my decision." Hebson didn't help matters, though, when she furthered the political aspect of the decision, saying the trip "would not be aligned with our beliefs and values." And while Chuck D may approve, the team itself - and its parents - do not, arguing that regardless of how one feels about the new law, it's not the school's place to make such decisions based on politics. One player told the Tribune, "I don't think it makes much sense. We shouldn't be a threat. We just want to play basketball," and a player's parent, who says she opposes the new law, added, "Many of the parents feel that this should be resolved in the judicial court, not the basketball court.""

People running the district are racists. They believe the law in this country does not apply to “brown people”.

Looks like one of the parents chimed in (on the comments for the Tribune’s article) at 11:18 on the twelfth.
This is headed to court.

Not unless we are talking about same sex marriage. The Constitution only means what liberals want to mean on any given day. That’s what moral relativism is all about.

Arizona SB1070 does not take effect until August - AFTER the basketball tournament. State law requires a 90 minimum wait period after the governor signs a law before it becomes effective.

This is headed to court.I don't know the first thing about the legalities on something like this but I just don't see how these people have the authority to cancel this because of political beliefs.
