The flip side of this is the money that comes out of my wallet to pay for these things. Less for me to retire on and more importantly, less for me to spend on my family’s well being.
Deny my or my wife our medical needs in the future and you will need an undertaker before we do.
Oh that money will still come out. It is just being spent on other people.

Any contact with the “medical establishment” is just an opportunity to place the elderly before the “death panels”, and lead them into “Logan’s Run”.
Then, at the end, “Soylent Green”. Can’t let all that protein go to waste.
Won’t really need death panels. I work as a nursing assistant at a skilled care nursing home ~ the only work I could find since last year.
The fed could simply defund 50% the meds and procedures to 100% my patients and I bet that 75-85% of them would die of one thing or another; diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease, CoPD or any conbination or complication thereof.
We have a moral crisis in this nation and it starts in the Oval Office.
Seniors won’t mind because he sounds and talks like JFK.
I like to tell my smoking friends, who frequently and rightfully gripe about the cost of tax on cigs, that the tax was instituted under the spurious assumption that the money collected could go to treating people with the various ailments cased by a lifetime of smoking.
Truth be told, when my friends reached that moment they will be told that they will have no treatment because of their lifestyle choice.
