Bless you, sir. The only fault my father had was that he was too nice and decided to let my mother in my life after they divorced. I would have been better off growing up without her. A woman who when I was an adult told me she blamed me for being manipulative and busting up her marriage with my dad...when I was two years old.

I’m not saying it isn’t challenging. The hardest part is making sure that we all know and understand the distinction between and importance of being a Father first, and being a friend second. I know I’ll make mistakes -I have made many.
There’s no such thing as a, “Perfect Parent.” We all just do the best that we know how to do.
